Lapsed rent And in allowance of rent of 4 Butts of land late of Robert Frensheman lying vacant  in the lord’s hands by oath of the accounting official 2s. 5d.  And in allowance of rent of 3 helves of land in Beeston for an acre of land in meteland for an acre of land in Whetefurlonge, lying vacant in the lord’s hands, 5s. 4d. p.a.  And in allowance of the tenement of Thomas Stoke lying in the lord’s hands by oath of the accounting official 18d.  And in allowance for a tenement once of Nicholas Gogeon because it lies vacant in the lord’s hands from which nothing can be raised as is reported by oath 2s. é6ù[5]d.  And in allowance of rent for the mill once of John Baddesley lying vacant in the lord’s hands p.a. 6d.  And in allowance of rent of 3 Butts of land once of William Bounde lying in the lord’s hands this year 20d.  And in decrease of rent of 1 acre of land lying in Merewell’ which used to render p.a. 20d. now leased to Janyn Shephurde for 12d p.a. and thus in allowance p.a. 8d.  And in allowance of rent of several acres of land lying in several fields which Thomas Aleyn and others held for 5s. p.a. now leased to John Betesworth’ for 3s. 4d. p.a. and thus in allowance of rent p.a. 20d.  And in the wage of the rent collector p.a. 6s. 8d.  And in allowance of rent of 1 acre of land once of Partrich charged above at 20d. p.a. now lying in the lord’s hands and from which nothing can be raised and thus in allowance of rent p.a. 20d.  And in allowance of rent for a toft once of Richard Sampson lying vacant in the lord’s hands from which nothing can be raised this year 4d.  And in allowance of rent of 3 acres of land at Faukeneresgate once of Nicholas Barbour and lately of Thomas Lokke being in the lord’s hands this year 5s.  And in allowance of rent there lately of William Douseman lying in the lord’s hands this year 16d.  And in allowance of rent for 1 acre of land in Putcrofte late of William Vynche lying vacant in the lord’s hands this year 16d.  And in allowance of rent for 1 croft of land called Bradicrofte late of Thomas Lokke which used to render p.a. as charged above at 12s. now leased to Robert Cosshe for 10s. p.a. and thus in allowance of rent for the time of the account 2s.  And in allowance of rent of land and tenement late of Thomas Balchef at a term of years by rent 18d. p.a. now vacant in the lord’s hands from which nothing can be raised 18d.  And in allowance of rent  for a messuage late of William Balchef  p.a. 1 year for 4½d. now vacant in the lord’s hands from which nothing can be raised this year 4½d.  And in allowance of the toft of 1 plot of land late of Thomas Stokes lying vacant in the lord’s hands this year 9d.  And in allowance of rent of several acres of land in several fields there this year lying vacant in the lord’s hands 12s.

Costs of the borough And for costs of Henry Uvedale and Robert Weskham burgesses at the lord King’s Parliament as used to be allowed in previous years 3s. 4d.

Payment of the 15th and 10th And in half the 15th and 10th granted to the lord King paid at the Nativity of St John the Baptist in the 32nd year 6s.  And in the fourth part of the 15th and 10th paid to the lord King at Martinmas in the 33rd year outside this account 3s.

Harvest And in the wages of Richard Bikle hired with his cart for the whole harvest for carrying the lord’s grain this year by agreement made with him by John Chambre as he showed on this account before the auditors 18s.  And in similar wages of William Ryrowne hired with his cart for the same time for carrying and loading into barns[6] the lord’s grain this year by the same testimony 18s.  And in wages to Robert Foghle hired with his cart to bring into barns the lord’s grain this year and to him more because he was there longer than the other carters both in the first carrying as at the end as is testified by John Chambre 20s.
